Aurora Pediatric Dentist
“We go out of our way to make sure that your child’s first visit to our office is relaxing and positive.”
Our Aurora pediatric dentist, Dr. Yazdani, and his staff do everything they can to ensure that children feel comfortable during their first visit. Taking care of your child’s teeth is vital for dental development and regular visits to the dentist are an important aspect of maintaining good oral health in children.
Yazdani Dental offers pediatric dentistry in Aurora to help keep your child’s teeth healthy and strong! During the initial check-up, we will discuss your child’s medical and dental history. Their teeth will be carefully examined and cleaned diligently to remove any plaque that could cause tooth decay.
Your Child’s First Visit With the Dentist
The first visit with Dr. Yazdani should be a fun and enjoyable one! Your child should be informed of the visit, but leave the details of the visit up to our dentist and staff to explain.
The Canadian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends dental check-ups at least twice a year for most children, and your child’s first visit should start no later than the age of two.
During your visit, we will teach your child the proper techniques for cleaning teeth, such as brushing, flossing, and maintaining a proper diet. After treatment and cleaning, a fluoride solution may be applied to prevent cavities and strengthen teeth.
You are invited to stay with your child during the initial examination, but prospective visits without your presence in the room will allow us to establish a closer rapport with your child more easily.
Our objective is to gain your child’s confidence and overcome their apprehension. However, if you choose, you may come with your child to the treatment room.
Keep Your Child’s Smile Beautiful!
Even if your child has never had a cavity, they can still benefit from regular visits with our Aurora pediatric dentist. Our dentist will assess any changes in your child’s oral growth and development.
We will also be able to identify any dental displacements and suggest future treatment options that will keep your child’s smile beautiful as they grow.
Dr. Yazdani, Wendy, and all of the staff have over 15 years of experience working with children. They have been trained to work with children and will use words, pictures, and ideas that your child will understand.
